Nov 2022

7 books read totaling 2,503 pages. Cumulative totals for the year:- Books 100 Pages 33,599

A stop/start kind of month but broke the 100 barrier. The month started with the fantastic debut novel from Bob Mortimer. Hopefully a lot more to come from him. Maybe make it a series (both TV and in book form)?

The next two were from a new author (to me) Amazon algorithms actual work at times as they suggested Gillian McAllister to me. I’d say “Wrong Place Wrong Time” will be in my top 3 books of 2022. Immediately after reading I went and purchased the rest of her books. I followed the first with another and the rest will be devoured early 2023.

Book 4 was part of a time traveling comedy romp by James Crookes. Still fairly enjoyable but I probably won’t rush to get a 4th in the series if it gets that far.

I’ve read all of Eddie Lancaster’s books. Comedy romps with characters you see in all aspects of normal day to day life. Good fun. More please?

Book 6 and it was the return of an old favourite. We thought we’d seen the back of Zoe Finch but author, Rachel McLean, treated us with an unexpected 7th book in the series. I’d say there’s at least another couple in the locker?

Final book of November and it was a standalone from Katerina Diamond. I stumbled upon Diamond’s, Imogen Grey, books (or at least one of them) in Treasure Chest books in Felixstowe. After reading them earlier in the year I found this standalone called The Heatwave. Pretty much done that in one go. Or I would have done if I hadn’t started it so late!
